Technology is crazy

Again I am in awe at the amazing advances in technology. I just got off the phone with my doctor and the fetal fibronectin test came back negative, which means there is a 1 in 200 chance I will deliver in the next two weeks. In other words: good news! The doctors feel good about this test and we look forward to another two weeks knowing I will not go into labor. This will bring us to 28 weeks which is a huge week for lung development. With the knowledge of being on the couch for two more weeks, I have resorted to switching couches every few hours as I was beginning to see a dent in my sectional from the form of my body. Not attractive.

That is great. One thing that really helped with bed rest, for me, was a body pillow. Being in bed for 4 months, I really started to get sore, and that helped a lot. So happy to hear good news from you guys today!

I'm am glad to hear of the great report from the doctor!! So, do you need some ideas to fill your next two weeks of waiting? If so, I'm sure I could send you some papers to read for me. :) It's always interesting seeing what my students are going to say about topics we talk about in Human Relations. :) No really, I hope you have some great books to read. I love you and am praying.

Alicia and Paul,

We pray for you guys so many times a day, and after reading your last post, it feels that God is guiding your little one, and keeping he or she right where they belong for now. I hope you feel our prayers.

We are so proud of you, and you amazing me daily. I know there are good days and not-so-good days, however your trust and devotion to your faith is an example to us.

We love you and are so thankful for you in our lives.

Sincerely, Maria and Chris :) <><

Your mom told me you were having another one of those tests - I'm so glad to hear it came back negative! We have been praying for you guys many times daily and will continue to as you go through this journey. It's too bad your house isn't 100 years old like ours - then you'd have a lot more cracks to study :) Your mom showed me some pictures of your house and it looks really nice! I'm still hoping us Iowa cousins and aunts can figure out a time to come visit you guys sometime! Take care and know we are praying for you!

You have strongly been on my heart. I pray for you and your family ever chance I get. Even my two year old daughter, Aspen, has been praying for the baby each night! It is very encouraging to hear the good test results. God is keeping you and the baby safe in the palm of His hands. We will continue to think of you and pray for you in this time of trial and faith.
